ARTS & CRAFTS
Are you a creative person? Do you like showing your artistic abilities? If yes, join us every Wednesday, after lunch for an arts & crafts class led by longtime volunteer Jeanne Barnes and her friends. Each week the craft is different but always fun! Many holiday crafts are done throughout the year! Most projects are done individually and can be taken home that very day!
DEVELOPMENT OF LIFE SKILLS
Day programs allow participants to develop their real-world skills. Through activities such as exercising, creating personal schedules, and volunteering in the community, adults with disabilities have the opportunity to grow their confidence and knowledge in new facets.
DAILY SOCIALIZING
Attending day programs with peers is like having a built-in group of friends. Not only are participants surrounded by a supportive group of like-minded individuals, but these newfound friends are able to bond over similar interests, differing abilities, and ways in which they can help each other grow
RELIEF FOR CAREGIVERS
Being a caregiver for your loved one is more than a full-time job, it’s your life. Adult day programs offer respite for caregivers and peace of mind that their loved one is in good hands.

Being a caregiver is never easy, for anyone! In order for you to provide care for others you need to be healthy both mentally and physically.
We provide the opportunity to bring your loved one to a safe place so they too can be better in their lives with our programs, while you take care of you.
Shopping & Errands
Bring your loved one to the Among Friends Activity Center so you have the opportunity to go to the grocery store or run errands.
WOrk and socialize
When you are a caregiver you have little time for working, socializing, or meeting friends for coffee or lunch. All of these are important to your wellbeing! We can help!
Doctors Visits
A visit to the doctor’s office is always more difficult when you are not by yourself. Bring your loved one to Among Friends Activity Center and you can enjoy our programs while you take care of yourself.
